Our role

Commercial management is the employment side of running a ship: finding cargoes or charters, negotiating and concluding the contracts, giving the voyage orders, arranging bunkers and agents, and turning each voyage into an invoice, a collection and a set of accounts for the owner. That is what Pan Asia Lines does. Technical, ISM and crew management of each vessel rest with its separately appointed managers.

How we work

We act as agent for and on behalf of the owners. Fixtures beyond the agreed period need the owner's written consent, all freight, hire and demurrage is paid into an account in the owner's name, and the owner receives the recaps, voyage accounts and statements that show how the ship has earned.

Every counterparty is screened for sanctions exposure and know your customer requirements before a fixture is concluded. Voyage orders, laytime statements and claims are documented so that owners, their insurers and their auditors can follow the record.

Who we work with

• Registered owners, who appoint us and to whom we report.
• Technical managers, who keep the vessel in class and in compliance and with whom we coordinate on vetting, port calls and voyage performance.
• Charterers, traders and refiners, who employ the vessels for crude oil cargoes on established routes.
• Brokers, port agents, surveyors and bunker suppliers, appointed voyage by voyage.
